Clay County Attorney's Office provides legal advice and a broad spectrum of high-quality legal services to the Board of County Commissioners.  The Office advises and assists the County Manager, department personnel, and various agencies created by the Board regarding legal matters pertinent to County business.  The Office advises and represents the Constitutional Officers if no conflict exists and resources permit.

Under the Clay County Home Rule Charter, the County Attorney is appointed and serves at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners.
