  • How do I make a media request?

    The Communications Department is the primary source of information for any media representative working to obtain an interview, video, photographs, or information about county operations. The office will coordinate the request as soon as feasibly possible to the best of their ability. If possible, the public information officer or communications director will be present for interviews.

  • How do I make a public records request?

    Should a media request take the form of a public record request, the office will relay the appropriate avenues in which the inquirer can obtain that information, and alert the custodian of records. Public records requests can be, but are not limited to:

    • Data, either current or past
    • Employee records
    • Policies and procedures that are not on the website
    • Documentation pertaining to county operations
    • Purchase records

  • What does the Communications Department do?

    The mission of the Clay County Communications Office is to relay county operations, decisions, and services to Clay County residents, highlight the county and educate and engage residents. The office uses a multimedia approach that includes the website, social media, email distributions, video, photographs, graphics, and traditional media.
