Dr. Kristen Burke

Commissioner Burke is a member of the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, and the Green Cove Springs Community Redevelopment Area Board.

Commissioner Kristen Burke, DC, was elected in November 2020 to represent District 5, which includes Green Cove Springs, Lake Asbury, Penney Farms, and Virginia Village. Commissioner Burke serves as Vice-Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and is a member of the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, Small County Coalition, and the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.

She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of North Florida. She received her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, and is a long-time business owner of Fleming Island Family Chiropractic on East-West Parkway.

As a private-sector business owner, Kristen promotes business-friendly leadership in Clay County and believes businesses play a vital role in the community. As one of the founding members of Clay Women in Business, Kristen helped create a strong alliance between Christian women in Clay County to encourage professional and personal growth.

As a lifelong Republican, Kristen has been a strong voice in protecting pristine areas such as Lake Asbury and neighboring communities by promoting innovative development.

Kristen married her high school sweetheart, Harold Burke, and lives in Russell Landing in Lake Asbury with their four children.
