Commissioner Compere

Commissioner Alexandra Compere was elected in 2022 to serve as District 2 Commissioner.

She was born and raised in Clay County, Florida, and comes from three generations of sugarcane farmers. Her parents migrated to the United States in the 1980s from Haiti in search of a better life.

Alexandra lives out the American dream every day. Her parents taught her that, with a little determination and a lot of hard work, she could accomplish just about anything here in America. She attended the schools in Clay and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Florida, a master’s degree in Christian Education from North Florida Theological Seminary, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law.

Alexandra serves northeast Florida as an attorney. She serves on various boards including Clinical Pastoral Education International and Clay County’s Republican Executive Committee.

As a lifelong resident of Clay County and Oakleaf area local, her aim is to make a meaningful contribution by being a servant leader who advocates for this deserving community.

Alexandra has attended Morning Star Family Church for almost 30 years. When work and community service give way to leisure, she spends time with her large family made up of five sisters and brothers.
